Lazar at Apple Hydraulics convinced me that it was no problem for them as it is their everyday business to rebuild old BMCs.

That's great! For that money they better be able to fix it.

Check also this other place. White Post Restoration, in White Post, VA (my work is about 30 minutes from them)

http://whitepost.com/brake-sleeving-reb ... -services/

A few years ago, it was $100 to sleeve a Master Cylinder, but no idea what the cost is today. It's one of the best places in the USA for restoring vehicles. I saw one time two vehicles for the Sultan of Brunei ($$$$) being restored. They offer the sleeving service.

Thanks Esteban,
Yes, Apple re-seleeves as well. These places need to be made available because it is not possible to buy one at this time. I do have the suppliers in Australia, Kuwait and Columbia checking their sources for used early versions. If they find any I will buy them and have them overhauled for when people need them.

Here is my $200 fully rebuilt brake master cylinder for my 63. Along the way a Mechanic somehow broke off one of the prongs on the brake sensor.

Can anyone verify or update the Parts Comparability List on this item. The one closest match from O'REILLY'S doesn't fit. The threaded male portion is slightly too large in diameter. Pictures attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have bought a Jeep cj 6 brake sensor suitable for 1961-1971 Jeeps from eBay. It will be here in about a week. I will let you know if it works.

I can confirm that Apple Hydraulics did a great job in rebuilding the OEM Master Brake Cylinder for my 63. I will be driving it, fully mechanically rebuilt today!
After two days on the ranch for field trials it goes to de-rusting hospital. Again, don't expect too much on the paint.
