New Patrol Owner - 69 Hardtop
Just purchased my 69 Patrol about 2 weeks ago.
The person that I purchased it from found it out in a field about 2 yeas ago, purchase it and placed it in his garage where he did nothing with it.
I saw my first Patrol a couple years ago when I purchased my house, the neighbor had one sitting in the back yard wasting away, I approached him many time to purchase it from him but he wouldn't budge.
I found this Patrol on Craigslist about 2 weeks ago and brought it to its new home in California.
I am new to the Patrol but not new to building cars, I am also working on a 1968 Chevy Camaro Super Sport.
I haven't started it yet as the transmission and transfer case had been removed when I brought it home so I plan soon to remove the clutch plate and will try to turn it over and see what I have, compression seems good.

I know where there is a engine, trans. transfer, pto, and rear diff. don't know the shape of the motor. It was left uncovered for a year. There is also a radiator, interior heater box with core and some other things.

I may be interested in some of those parts, I need the interior heater components, back seat frames, a radiator, and of course with these some spare parts isnt a bad idea.
Need some other small items like door latches for the back doors also and might need guages, i have them but they are a little rough and were left outside so the paint is starting the peal off the guage faces.

Really... we are neighbors!!
You didnt have a red one listed in Craigslist for sell recently did you?
Im working on bringing mine back to life
Question for all, when i got this one the trans was removed, i want to try to get it running but is it advised with the trans out and the clutch and disk plat still installed? I want the clean up the trans, replace the seals, and fill it with clean gear oil before i refill it.
