1963 Nissan Patrol picking up next week!
Hi,
I'm new to 60patrol and I'm picking up a 1963 Nissan Patrol next week.
I have been reading all of the topics on here incessantly and am very excited to start getting this 63 Patrol on the road!
I currently own a 1971 International Scout 800 B and a 1970 Dispatch Jeep, both are works in progress...
The Patrol needs a lot of work, but the bones of it are solid. From what I have been told it is an ex Life Guard/Beach Patrol vehicle, I don't have a huge budget so this project will be slow going!
Andy
"Beach Patrol" is it's temporary name!

Welcome to 60Patrol! Funny thing about nicknames... Once set they often cannot be changed! I think "Beach Patrol" is perfect!

Welcome to 60Patrol!
Congratulations on your new project. Looks pretty together under the hood, shouldn't take much to get it running. Good luck with the project and keep us posted on your progress!

Welcome to 60Patrol!
Congratulations on your Beach Patrol, as well as your other two vehicles in your collection. They look great!
By looking at the engine bay, it probably is newer than a 63. Please post the chassis and engine numbers when you have a chance.

Thank you for the warm welcome!
Esteban, you are correct. I managed to find an old post on nissanpatrolUSA.com for a 1964 Nissan Patrol.
It is the very same one and it was originally red. Which strangely enough was the color I am thinking about painting it!

If you can provide the ID number and/or the engine number we can help narrow down the year. An old post isn't a guarantee. It looks like the ID plate in the engine compartment is missing but you can find the ID number stamped on the top side of the frame right near where the exhaust pipe meets the manifold. scrape the crud off the frame and you'll find it.andy1963patrol wrote:Thank you for the warm welcome!
