Just wanted to introduce myself, I just bought a '63 L60 Patrol. It is in need of restoration so I am sure I will be annoying everyone with e-mails. Anyone live on the East coast? I am in Atlanta. I have always been involved in the Z-Car community and now branching out to the Patrol community. Where to begin? I know it needs a rear end, rebuild or replace?Attachment: patrol3.jpg

Your decision to rebuild or replace will be determined by the parts availability, and whether you want to keep it stock. As will your path for restoration. There are few parts resources, and sometimes people post parts they have for sale on this site. I think there was a post with diffs for sale last month. Check 'Patrol Buy/Sell/ Trade: Parts for sale/Trade.

Im with npca-riverpatrol. What do you want to do with your Patrol? Do you want to restore it, keep it mildly stock, yet making improvements like disc brakes, etc., or do you want to turn it into something wild?

Well i already have it. And it is in fairley decent shape. runs and drives. 4x4 works. There is no breaks at this time. And i am honestly not sure why. The front brake lines are removed so maybe they just need to be replaced. I think all I am really going to need for this vehicle are a few of the light lenses. That and some hard work. I work at a ford dealership so I will be able to get some work done very cheep as far as alignment and tires go. I dont see this being the hardest project i have tackled but i am still very excited about it. One of my best friends told me there is no way I will be driving it this summer. That alone will make me finish this.thank you for your time.keep in touch manDo you Yahoo!?; Yahoo! Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
