My fiancee inherited a '69 Patrol....now what?!?!
We just got this bad boy to our garage. I am not a guy that had worked on automobiles in the past. I don't guess that you could just take this down to the local auto mechanic and have him fix it up can you? It has been sitting for a number of years until we got it. Any suggestions on where to start?

Welcome to 60Patrol!
You're already off to a good start by ending up here.
If you can upload or link some pictures it will be easier to help answer your questions. No, you're not going to find a local mechanic to work on one. He might be able to but won't want to take the time to try and find the right parts for it. Spend some time reading posts here to get some ideas how to proceed, and ask!
EDIT - you beat me to it. Got the pics up already.

Well, I tackled my first challenge....I figured out how to post photos. Somehow, I think that will be the easiest task for a project like this. It seems to be in pretty good shape considering...

It is in fairly good shape from the looks of the pictures. It would be a nice weekend ride.

Re: My fiancee inherited a '69 Patrol....now what?!?!
I'm not sure if it runs. We had it brought to us from Memphis to Nashville on a trailer and we STRUGGLED to roll it into the garage....almost like it was in gear....emergency brake was engaged....not sure, but it took four of us to roll this guy 10 feet. The clutch (pushing the pedal) doesn't feel like it's attached to anything. The key doesn't want to turn, but I haven't tried to turn it too hard...I do not have a lot of experience working on cars. I don't even know what all the levers/buttons on the dash are for. I saw one youtube video showing that one was the choke, but what do the others do? Obviously one is for lights...but, is there a diagram that tells what all of the buttons mean? LOL
