Greetings,

Here are 2 images of my 1967 K60 Patrol. I purchased this Patrol in November 2017 in Northern California.

My father taught me to drive at Thatcher School where they had a well-seasoned 1964 International Harvester 4-Door Crew Cab Truck w/3 speed manual transmission. The ’64 IH was a part of the school’s maintenance fleet, which they acquired years earlier from a US Navy surplus sale. That truck had honesty like so many vehicles of that era. When you opened the hood the engine bay was so cavernous, a mechanic could climb inside if required. Beautiful (really large) steel stamped body parts. The best feature about that truck was riding and learning to drive with my father.

My new 1967 K60 Patrol has the same honesty as that ’64 IH. This Patrol is very original (fortunate to find one in this condition), and I intend to keep it that way while breathing some new life into it starting with new brakes, suspension, bushings, and the exhaust. First address the mechanical matters, then interior and exterior freshening.

I would like to thank 60Patrol for creating this forum for this unique Ute., and to the users for making time to share their passion and knowledge of Patrols. I’m learning a ton, and am sure I will have many questions to follow.

Paul

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: Wow! You score a very nice Patrol! Looks like the original paint and in good condition, original mirror, dealer installed factory antenna, and the side steps are still there! :o I can only imagine what else will make me drool on my keyboard about this Patrol. Congratulations, and please post more Patrol porn. :D

Congratulations and Welcome to 60 Patrol!

Beautiful Patrol! You're story reminded me of my father, since he had a 1957 International pickup, and for a time he was convinced that Patrol engine was based on the International. It's actually based on Graham Paige's.

A few images from the road, actually taken during the first drive to it's new home...

Welcome aboard Paul !

Beautiful Patrol... You scored with that one, and it was a fun BAT auction to watch...

PLEASE don't take those tail lights or front turn signals apart, unless you have a stack of pillows beneath them to catch those glass lenses...

Nothing will reduce a man to tears faster than watching one of those Uber-crazy-rare Everwing lenses shatter on the ground...

Welcome!!! I am also in Northern CA. The Patrols and I split our time between Berkeley and Cobb so if you're anywhere around me I'd love to kick your tires and BS.
