1964 Patrol just bought in Botswana, Africa

Post by patrolbotswana »

This Patrol needs a lot of work. It was left standing in a yard and some kids had been using it as a jungle gym! Even poured sand into oil refill on tappet cover. It will definitely need the head off as some sand has gone onto pistons. I'm hoping I'll be able to find a head gasket set somewhere. Any tips would be most appreciated!

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: Congratulations on your new Patrol project. Great that you want to bring it back to life.

We have another member in South Africa, here is the thread on his Patrol: http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic ... lit=africa. There was another with a Patrol pickup but I can't seem to find the thread right now.

You will probably find that your best source for parts will be in Australia and on eBay. Here is the result of a search on eBay Australia: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_fro ... 0&_sacat=0. Here is a gasket set: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Full-Gasket- ... SwWGlZ1GzD. Time and patience, you'll find what you need. Don't hesitate to ask here, someone is always willing to help.

Keep us posted on your progress, and we love pictures! :D
Beyond any hope for intervention
