That's only 3 hours from me, but it looks in rough shape from the few pictures posted. hard to tell though.

I spoke to the owner yesterday. I'm going to take a drive up there tomorrow and see what's left of the Patrol and if we can make a deal.

Quick update. My wife and I made it up to Galway new york today - a little date away from the kids. We made a deal on the Patrol, but weren't able to fully recover it.

It has been parked in the woods since 1992. It looks to be nearly complete, not picked over at all. It is fairly rusted though. I'd like to evaluate it further to see if it can be saved. It's a long shot, but being so complete it would be a shame to not try. in order to get it out of the woods, we have to pull it up a pretty good incline. with all 4 wheels flat and the drums likely rust welded to the shoes, it's like pulling a sled. So, to get it out, we need to break the wheels free so that it can roll up the hill. Any suggestions for breaking free the brake drums (other than a big hammer).

We are going up there again tomorrow and hope to get it on the uhaul trailer and back to my driveway by the end of the day.

Back the adjusters all the way off. Fill up the tires and find a friend with a log chain and a diesel truck.

So, we were able to free up 3 of the 4 wheels today. With one wheel still pretty much a skid though, it proved too much drag to pull up the hill and out of the woods. Not wanting to drive up there again, we gave in and called a wrecker. An hour later, this thing was pulled out of the woods and sitting on the trailer. We just got home and unloaded it in the dark. I'll share some more pictures soon. It's got more than its fair share of rust. Not sure what the underside looks like though as I wasn't able to get underneath it.
