Repairs this Week

This is what I have learned this week. Maybe it will help someone else save some money.
This pertains to CCV3 my GMC 2500HD 4 x 4 which I fix/repair each summer from battle damage received over the winter hunting season.
First, trying to run over trees that are "too big" breaks the flange that holds the front differential in place. I will be more selective in the future as it requires a total replacement of the front differential. Ouch, self inflicted.
Second, motor mounts are often over looked. They never seemed too important to me. Well, when they are worn and not replaced it leads to excessive vibrations that ruins the transmission and rear main seal. All three of which are very expensive to replace. Now, I do this every year and I'm a bit miffed that the motor mounts were not replaced last summer during the summer inspection/rebuild.
