75-90 to 75-90 syntheic

im changing the fluids on my 09 tacoma and the diffs and t case and tranny call for 75-90 gear oil however nobody around stocks it in regular oil i can only get it in synthetic. are there any issues with changing from regular to synthetic

You should be ok on a vehicle that recent. Don't ever try it on a Patrol though.

not that i would but out of curiosity what would happen to a patrol if you did?

The seals and gaskets on the Patrol weren't designed for synthetic oils. Plus the fact that they are 50 years old, introducing something different will just cause them to fail. I am still dealing with the results of a previous owner doing that on one of my Patrols; significant leaks in places you never would have considered.
