Distributor timing advance vaccum diaphragm question

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Does anyone know what part is missing off this vacuum advance diaphragm? Is it merely a vacuum line adapter and does anyone know the thread size on this? trying to get this thing hooked up correcly to my carburetor w/o air leaks.

See the bar vacuum line to the left going to the distributor? One like that is what goes on there. It routes to the carb.
Beyond any hope for intervention
