Not sure what years this would cover, but this alternator on Amazon is a perfect match for the one on my Patrol:

It will cover all the years that were fitted with an alternator, since the mounting base is the same. If you're going to run some additional lights or an electric winch, the 35 amp is too low. For the stock Patrol is a perfect match.

On that topic I took my alternator to an alternator shop. He tested mine which appears to have been rebuilt at some time, but is stock. The results were a little under 45 amps. I talked to the guy for a while and mentioned the minor upgrades I as doing, and that I was thinking about a 70 amp alternator. He told me that even with a radio and amplifier and possible sub, the stock alternator will be fine. He also said i should run the alternator until it has issues keeping up with the load as it won`t hurt anything and swap it out when needed.

Those were his thoughts. Just adding to the conversation.

If River reads this, would you consider adding the alternator to the parts list. 65$ for a good rebuild that looks fresh!

If someone does get the alternator please let us know if there are any issues.

Thanks!

We usually wait to add a part to the list once it has been installed successfully.
