New in box waterproof distributor and starter on Craigslist

Just talked to the seller and they still have both items. 400 seems high, but not for both parts if you need it and they're super hard to find....

Re: New in box waterproof distributor and starter on Craigsl
That's actually a very fair price for an NOS water proof distributor. It's only the second one I've ever seen, and I think the first, which was a bolt 10 years ago, was about the same price.

Yeah, you're right River, especially if you're going for original look/performance/function. I might have jumped on it if i didn't just buy a forklift distributor for $120. Seller was very kind on craigslist. I think someone will scoop it up.

I sent the seller a note asking if he would be willing to ship to CT. At some point in the near future the engine will get the attention it needs - once I get through all of the running gear issues.

Heard from seller that she sold it to someone down in TX. Glad it found a home.

Sorry Don, I contacted the seller and offered to bat second. They contacted me when they thought it was time to let it go. The seller was a mechanic whom bought it for a customer forty years ago but never picked it up. I think it was a very fair price since I need a rebuilt starter to boot.
It is on its way to Eddy the Eagle. It will go into Command & Control Vehicle #5 w/cyclops (CCV5C - white patrol) after he finishes Santa's sleigh (Hershel's red Patrol).
On another note I bought two Nissan Patrol front hood badges from RiverPatrol. Turns out I only need one. If anyone needs a front hood badge let me know.

Now all you gotta do is find a replacement cap and rotor and points for that uber rare waterproof distributor. Either that or just don't drive it much. Let me know what you come up with. All I have is spare points.

The original cap and rotor should actually last quite a long time, I've re-used one off a scrapped Patrol on occasion. If points (and condenser) can't be found, the Pertronics mod is an excellent way to go.plateaucal wrote:Now all you gotta do is find a replacement cap and rotor and points for that uber rare waterproof distributor. What? I have the Petronix upgrade. If I use this does that mean I have to go back to points? If so, this thing is dead to me.
