I'm going to venture a guess and say it has the original engine, that he looked under the hood and said "That looks like a Chevy straight 6." Since the ad also states the 1969 was the first year the Patrol was imported to North America, they obviously don't know much about it. Also it still has the stock 3 speed trans and transfer, usually someone is going to swap that out too if they swap the engine.
