I'd drive the 1st one set up for the trails representing Nissan in an offroad world dominated by Jeeps, which I also have. I'd prefer it had a Nissan drive train whether a 5.6L V8 out of a Titan, or the 4.0L V6 out of the Frontier/Xterra, or even a Cummins 4BT or the new 2.8L crate engine.
The second one better not go offroad, or they will cut into the tires with the body and/or damage the body. It looks like a typical mall crawler.

hadn't heard that term before. Love it... and agree with your assessment.

when the FJ80 land cruisers came out in the early 90's they were frequently referred to as Mall Cruisers due to the all the soccer moms owning them... the FJ62 in 1988 was the last time we could get a cruiser with a stick shift in the US thanks to the buying demographic changing.

Reminds me of a Road & Track article I read when the H2 Hummer came out. “The only time this thing is going off-road is when someone accidentally backs over the landscaping at the end of the driveway.”

Pretty sure that's the same Patrol as the grey/black "Mall Crawler" listed for Barret Jackson - makes me wonder if it's just "wrapped" to tone down the look for auction ... I think I also recall seeing it up on Craigslist in the blue color scheme, sometime in the last few months or so.

I'd have to agree, great observation. I think they're going to be disappointed with the price it will get a Barrett though, if they don't have a reserve.

We went to BJ to walk around on Tuesday night, and yes, the gunmetal gray 67 Patrol is the same one that has been for sale locally in Phx for over a year, only it was blue... Now it's gray. :?

It's not a wrap- They re-sprayed it.

I didn't see the auction results on either Patrol, but I will say that in general, a LOT of cars were moving on low winning-bids. Lots of good deals.

The other thing I noticed was that square Ford Broncos seem to be in a buyer's market right now- There have been at least 30 Gen1 Broncos sold on BAT this year, and there were almost as many Broncos under the tents at BJ as there were Mustangs...

Actually the auction results are in the links above. The grey one went for far more than I would have thought, apparently it interested some gear heads. The other went for about what I would have thought.
