1974 One Owner Barnfind Ute

Post by G60michael »

Hi All, here is my latest Purchase a factory 1974 G60 Pickup Ute. I am only the second owner of this vehicle since new.

A mate of mine buys classic cars and motorbikes on farms, rescues them and sells them ect.

He originally found this old Gem about 4 years ago tucked away in a Barn on a farm in central NSW Near Bathurst Australia.

That's where it was Driven to and parked up by the original owners son in 1992 after his farther passed away, there i some Sad history behind this Old G60 which possessed very Strong sentimental Value and never thought the Day would Come that he would be able to let it go, but he finally decided he will sell it.

His farther had brought it Brand new From Giddings Datsun Dealer in Bathurst NSW, it still even has the Original dealership sticker on the back window.

27 Years later Out she comes of the Barn, it's very lucky that it still has all the original Paperwork, the owners Manuals and the Factory Toolbox is still under the Seat, and in Rare Original Red.

It also has the original Crank Handle and jack ect.

Such a Rare Model in such Good Original Condition a True Aussie Barnfind. Theres not to many g60s floating around especially in the Orignal Red,let alone the tub model.

It still has the original New South Wales Number Plates on it. The dust is thick in spots but she will scrub up mint. This is the ultimate Barn Find G60, it's not often You get to Buy one of the Original Owners Yet a Wellback complete with all Original manuals and Toolbox jack the works.

Hope u enjoy Enjoy some pics, will keep posting updates. Once it arrives I'll post the Rescue Video and photos of it after cleanup.

The front tyres were Buried upto the Bottom on rims from sitting so long.

Heres where it was living

Great find! I would love to see what it looks like cleaned up, even without any restoration.
