1962 on Ebay with homemade looking top

Post by rdarnell »

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Nissan-Ot ... SwAWNcqPd1

looks like it might have been original soft top and has a home made hard top on it now.

You're right. I had one like that, it still had the original soft top frame supporting the home made hard top. Lots of rivets.

Lots of nice original parts on this one.

Thank you I made a fair offer on behalf of my mechanic. We will see. It is a good starter for sure.

Seller has zero feedback. Not saying that makes them a crook/scammer, but in my mind calls for some extra caution.

I can report he responded to my offer, which I thought was fair, and indicated he wanted the auction to play out. I just don't think it is worth the $10,000 he is asking. But that is just my opinion.
However, I hope it does as it will show a growing appreciation for the venerable ole Patrol.

did you check out the one I posted that is on ebay here in town. It has a couple modifications but I think it could easily be undone.

The seller just doesn't fully the cost appreciate the cost of rebuilding every system of his Patrol to make it safe and road worthy. Then, that hard top in no way adds to the ultimate value, quite the opposite in my humble opinion. The $2500 bid is very far and far less than I offered on behalf of one of my mechanics.
