General Parts Buying

Easy question for everyone. Where are people getting their more general parts from? Things like dizzy caps & rotors, brake pads, plug wires, etc., your standard wear & tear items. The usual auto parts stores don't seem to stock these things and I can't imagine you have to special order even the small stuff?

There isn't a one stop shopping destination for any of those parts. It wall depends on what you need. Plug wires can be generic from a parts store. Distributor cap will depend upon the type of dizzy you have, whether it's water protect or not. Brakes shoes usually get relined at a brake shop. Etc., etc..

Sorry, I'm still very new to these and the truck just got in this morning so forgive the lack of information prior. It's a non water-protect cap, so that makes things easier? Still not sure were to get them (cap & rotor) though. I tried uploading pictures but even when they seem to fit the requirements it tells me there's an error, otherwise I'd provide some.

Not sure why you're getting errors trying to upload pictures. Perhaps you could create an album in the Gallery and upload them there, then link to them in your post. The Gallery is sometimes a little more forgiving when uploading, although the size requirements still apply.
