Lake City 4th Parade 2020 - Scheduked

Greetings, Just a note to say this mid summer Patrol is "on" the calendar. I sure hope Plateaucal returns with his Patrol, known in Lake City as "the good one". I cabin is full as we will have maybe 20 family members there but if anyone has the time to come up and celebrate with us it will be a little slice of a Norman Rockwell painting of Americana.

Sadly, we best not depend on a Lake City 4th of July Parade. Under the City's COVID 19 rules the County will close Lake City once just two COVID cases are reported. I'd expect that will be reached in the weeks preceding the 4th.

I was no more than a 50-50 (at best) to make the trip, but part of me did hold a glimmer of hope that all the stars would align for me to take a long weekend away from the Arizona heat... Especially since my own favorite vacation spot has also been completely closed to foreigners (The navy has even closed the harbor and won't let private boats launch... As if there is some chance that 4 gringos could catch Covid out on the desolate fishing grounds 50 miles offshore...

maybe the whales and dolphins are carriers... I don't know.
