Tie rod end adjustment.

As we should all know, the tie rod ends are adjustable and within that end is a spring. The presence of a spring suggest that pre-load is needed for proper operation. Anybody have suggestions on proper pre-load?

I think that only a few of us have done this adjustment. I just adjusted by feeling it, tight enough that I could still move it by hand, although with some effort. Much like a typical tie rod of any car.
