60Patrol

Hello all - getting ready to post my 67 for sale and wanted to put it here first. Been lurking this site, and RMPO, since I acquired my Patrol back in 2009. Always appreciated the insight here and hopefully y'all can help me find the Patrol a loving new home. 52,000 original miles, started it's life as a ranch vehicle in Northern CA and I acquired from the 2nd owner. Almost all original and I have all the parts I removed. No engine work done that I know of and fires right-up every time. I'll update this post with more details in the coming days. Looking for $10,500 but open to offers if I'm out of line. Best regards, Mark

Were you happy with the Alcan springs that you installed?

Allan was great to work with and they fit perfect. If you haven’t researched yet, you just can’t do too much lift or there can be clearance issues with the front driveshaft.

Great truck. Perfect patina, looks solid.

Personally, I think the Alcan's raise it just about as high as you'd want to go, anyway. Looks great.

If it runs and drives as well as it looks, then your price should be attainable (JMHO) - Do you still have the original springs, and wheels?

That's a very nice Patrol! Unmolested fenders and seemingly rust free, still sporting the original glass brake lights, front turn signals and map light, original paint - nice. Good luck with the sale, you should be able to get what you want for it.

As far as running goes, it fires up every time and idles rock solid - always. Keeps temp perfect too. It does run a little rich so needs someone more mechanical than me to dial-it-in. For driving, it needs freshen-up (probably bearings and other small items). It's a solid Patrol, no doubt, but not perfect. I have a cold start and driving video I need to get posted, but may be able to text or email if anyone wants it. PM me if so. Here are more pics!

Oh, and yes, still have the original wheels, springs, and gas tank/hanger. As well as a small cache of other new old stock parts that'll add some pics of too...there's a few goodies in there!

Mark, would you mind sharing the Alcan spring part numbers you used, as well as the wheel/tire sizes?

Sure, here's a pic of the wheel and tire spec. I spent a lot of time measuring to get the stance just right (IMO)! I debated between the black and white wagon wheels, but ultimately couldn't pass on the tan-black combo. Had the Patrol been a brighter color (blue/red) I would have gone with the white. You can give Alcan a call and let them know what you want, they custom make springs for Patrols. Last I checked, up-to 3" of lift is the same price as stock height. They have all the dimensions so you just need to tell them how much lift and if you'll have the hardtop on...they'll do the rest. Great people to work with.
