Patrol Angels
It seems that the Patrol Angels keep sending me messages. What do you think?

Plateaucal,
Is that one within reach? I'd sure like to know about that one. We need a red one for the July 4th parade!

Re: Patrol Angels
I was out shopping for marbles yesterday as it seems I have lost a few and need some replacements. Anyway, this Patrol is in a very secret location about two miles from my house. The guy that has this sold me a CJ-2A a few years back and he also had an airplane fuselage, so I thought for sure he would have some marbles, which is really what I am interested in until I saw the Patrol. I will pass along information as soon as I get some.

Ruff, lots of rot. It would be a challenge. I keep telling you that you are in a prime location for hidden gems, the Four Corners area has always turned up surprises.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: Patrol Angels
From a distance the roof looks shot, but the body is maybe okay. Of course I immediately thought of L60Boerne as he has no use for a roof on a Patrol. I will see if the guy is open today as this is a "seasonal" business. The owner is a crazy old dude that spends his winters in the Caribbean and then sells antiques and junk all summer around here to support his habit.
He really did have an airplane fuselage and I was looking to see if he still had it. It would make an cool camper. And truly....I was out shopping for old marbles yesterday as my daughter has found an interest in collecting them.
That Patrol that came up for sale in Gateway has hit EBAY for a new and much higher price from a specialty dealer. Of course.

Re: Patrol Angels
Okay. I looked at this one today. It is pretty rough. The cab has significant rust on the rear as expected. The front left fender is smashed like a pancake. The interior looks reasonably complete but rough. I could not get the hood open to check the engine. There is about two inches of dried mud on the frame and the gas tank is equally packed. If anyone is interested it is at Tracy's in Montrose. (970) 249-1954 Tracy is typically proud of his stuff. I have photos, for what it is worth.

Re: Patrol Angels
Thank you for the G2. Maybe we will check it out but rust already has my 63 by the ear hairs so I'm not jumping for another one with that affliction.

Re: Patrol Angels
I ran into the owner of this today. He wants $2500. If you need the parts, perhaps worth it.
