Can you ID these 2 Patrols?
Newbie here,
Not sure if the photos will download, but I wanted to know if anyone can identify the 2 vehicles in these photos? I know there might not be much to go with especially the copper colored one, but I could not find any identification on the vehicles neither in the cab or in the engine compartment. The owner is in search of the pink slips to ID the years. Knowing the year might help put a price tag on these for me since I am in hopes of acquiring them. The yellow one supposedly ran when parked 2 years ago, but one never knows as I've learned with other trucks I've bought.
Thanks,
Roman

Welcome to 60Patrol!
The yellow one is a '66 or '67 evidenced by the door handle and turn signals. The bronze one is a '62 up to '67, not enough detail to tell for sure. The ID plate for both of these should be in the engine compartment on the firewall just above the valve cover. This ID plate will have the year of manufacture on it. The other location is on the top surface of the right frame rail kind of between where the starter and exhaust pipe are. Usually there is a lot of crud that needs to be scraped off to read it. If you can get those I can tell the year.

The year won't matter for pricing this Patrols, since both are over 50 years old. It will be more the condition of each one.
Hope you can make a good deal on both.

The yellow one seems to be in pretty good shape with the interior in tack and just a few ugly rust spots on the roof. It would take minimal work to repair the roof. Now, the copper one is the one that has a roached top with some large size rust holes that I simply don't know if they could be repaired. The interior also seems to be in tack.Esteban wrote:The year won't matter for pricing this Patrols, since both are over 50 years old. It will be more the condition of each one.

The gentleman is asking $7,500 for both. Supposedly, the yellow one ran when parked about 2 years ago, but one never knows if that means it will run again without major work.

That seems to be the going rate for project Patrols these days. Just consider if you think you are capable of doing the work with maybe some of it being sent out to professionals. Projects are fun but it isn't hard to bite off more than you can chew, then it's not so fun.

Howdy,
Well I able to acquire both vehicles, but neither one has a vin plate on the firewall just above the valve cover. The yellow one has 4 holes on the firewall where there once was a vin id and the copper one has no holes at all. I will need to look on the frame to confirm ID for both vehicles.

Re: Can you ID these 2 Patrols?
Howdy,
I have in fact acquired the placard for the yellow patrol and it shows it to be a 1967, vin# L60-07017. Now as for the copper one, I have yet to identify it and will need to look further for a VIN number. I know you mentioned by the starter, but I also read that it could be on the frame 6" behind the steering box crossmember by or below an oval in the frame. Couldn't find in either place. Any other suggestions where to look for the vin#?
Thanks!

It's only going to be near the steering box if it's a right hand drive vehicle, you're on the wrong side of the car if you're looking over there. It's on the top of the frame on the right side, forward of the starter, about next to the exhaust pipe. You'll probably need to clean off the dirt and gunk to see it there.
