Fuse Orientation?

This probably sounds really dumb, but how do I know the correct order for the fuses in my true 69?
I see the wiring diagram, but I am not sure if it is showing as if I'm looking down from above or as if I'm standing in the engine bay. In other words does the 30amp fuse go toward the front of the vehicle or back?

I can't confidently use what fuses are there now as reference, because they are not correct amperage.

The block has an arrow pointing to the front of the vehicle, and the manufacture stamp is "upsidedown" in orientation to the ground if that helps.

Thank you so much!

The 30 amp fuse goes in the slot closest to the firewall.

Thank you River!

The previous owner seemed to used whatever they wanted, and currently the 30 amp has been in the front slot!

Thanks again.

Sometimes people would do that if there was a problem causing the fuse to blow frequently, they would put a larger fuse in instead of finding and fixing the problem. I have seen one situation (not here) where someone use a bolt in the slot because the fuse kept blowing. Needless to say the wiring harness fried as a result.

Holy smokes! (Literally haha)

The only blown fuse in mine was the windshield wiper. I replaced it today and seems to be running just fine now (thank goodness no motor replacement needed).
I put all the correct fuses in the right slots and drove a few places today without issue. So fingers crossed!

Thanks so much again :)
