P40 Distributor

Post by kuzzen »

The distributor for my 1969 Patrol is missing the keyed shaft on the bottom end that fits inside the engine. Willing to purchase that piece or a complete distributor...thanks.

Kuzzen, RiverPatrol included yesterday a link for a new distributor.

In addition, Helmar has the distributor also, since it was fitted on Komatsu forklifts that used the P and the P40 engine.

Please note that this is the standard distributor, not the water-protect one that came as original equipment in the USA models. And a final note, all Patrols up to 1978 or 1979 are fitted with the P engine (this is what you have) The P40 is a small evolution of the P. Among the changes done:
- Timing chain instead of timing gears
- Crankshaft bearings (#1 bearing had a redesign and therefore is not interchangeable)
- Intake and Exhaust manifolds
- Carburetor
- Cam followers
- Oil filter
- Water Pump and Thermostat housing
Owner of the same Patrol since 1967
