Removing hard top

Hey guys - I have a 65. I want to take the hard top off for the first time. Does anyone have any pointers or tricks of the trade with that?

If you don't have a tractor get a strong friend or a bunch of teenagers to help. Once all the bolts are out the weatherstripping might keep things stuck together, be very gentle when separating the weatherstrip because there is no replacement. Especially the one across the top of the windshield. Isn't it the wrong time of year to be doing that?

I live in Phoenix. Now is the prefect time! I noticed some wiring running in the grooves where the hard top sits. I’m guessing it’s for dome light? Any thoughts on that?

Yes, perfect for about another week. 
The wiring goes above the passenger door to the windshield, yes its for the rear dome light. There should be two bullet connectors right about the passenger door that can be pulled apart to disconnect them.
