UBolt replacement

I checked the compatibility list but didn't see anything. Anyone know of a new replacement for the U Bolts for the rear leaf springs? Are the fronts the same? What was supposed to be a simple job has turned into a (naughty word) and I can feel one of the bolts about to break.

TIA

I had mine made by a spring shop - they had an old hand-written book with all the old vehicle specs in it.

Fronts were different radius for me because we get the H260 rear diff and C216 front on our G60s in Australia, and rears were also longer to accommodate more leaves.

Also front only uses 3 U-bolts, inner RHS is a pair of studs in the pumpkin which is too far outboard to fit a U-bolt.

Short answer - yours, if the rear diff is a C216 like most SWB 60s, will be the same radius but may be different in length.

I'm sure someone stateside will know that detail...

Cheers,
D

Like Johnny Roadkill said, go to a spring shop (I use one that mainly does trucks). Take one of the u-bolts with you and they should be able to duplicate it, plus supply new nuts (and hardened washers if you want to use them).

Thanks to both of you. I was hoping for a more turn key solution, but I'll start looking for a shop that can do this for me.

The spring shop I went to put together a set while I was picking up my springs... Seemed like they were basically a standard item.

I'd say call your local spring shop.
