67 transmission kit?

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

It should? The transmission was the same throughout the production of the 60 series Patrol. But, if you have a 4th gear you don't have a stock trans.

There's a minor difference in one of the bearings in the following picture. It's #7-02 that goes in the Counter Gear #2. You can see on the lower left corner that the bearing is marked #7-01 (up to Apr-72). The kit offered in Australia most probably includes #7-02.

Bearing 7-01 includes the inner race. Bearing 7-02 doesn't, and the bearing runs over the counter gear itself (inferior design in my opinion). So be aware that you might have to source that bearing separately.

I'm not at home at the moment, to find an annotated image of the transmission with the common bearing part numbers. They can be sourced with a bit o patience since they're not unique to the Patrol. In the mean time, please review the following thread with excellent comments from member Coyote Patrol:

That kit worked on my 66. However, please don’t overlook the release bearing and pilot bushing which isn’t in that kit. All are needed once the transmission is dropped.
