Steering Fix for 2-3" Lift

So I bought my patrol with a 3" lift on it already, and it had horrible bump steer since the steering had not been addressed. Well I did some searching and found out the pitman splines are the same common splines as chevy/jeep stuff. So I pulled my pitman to verify it would fit. turns out a jeep xj(cherokee) pitman arm is about 3" drop from the factory pitman. I just had to grind the weld on the original pitman ball, press it out, and bore a hole in the xj pitman and press it into that and weld it. completely fixed the bumpsteer, and almost straightened the steering wheel back to stock.

The only other thing I had to do was take a hacksaw, and cut thru the center of the 4 wide splines that are keyed so it only fits one way. you have to split those so it can be adjusted a spline or two off so it will actually be centered. it cuts real easy. I've done this many times over the years on different projects. my current crewcab has an xj pitman for crossover steering and has been that way for at least 8 yrs.

Can you provide a picture of this or explain it a little more?? I'm not quite following you on this one!!

Sorry it took so long, had issues resizing the pic.
Theres 4 wide splines like this one, you have to take a hacksaw and file thru the middle of all 4 so you can clock the pitman about 2 teeth over from stock.
