Just got a 1966 Patrol

Post by Frank1669 »

Hello Everyone and thanks for adding me. This thing Popped up on facebook marketplace, And I thought about it. I haven't made a poor financial choice in a while so I pulled the trigger on it. The body is really straight and has no rust ( well no spots that are rusted through.) It "ran when parked" of course. It hasn't been registered in 10 years so not sure how long since it ran, Hoping I can get it fired up and running to play with it a bit. But the real plans are to swap in the OM617 toyota 5speed set up I have been saving for the Right vehicle. just a Pick from the advisement. I pick her up on Monday.

Congrats and welcome to 60Patrol! Looking forward to seeing the project as it progresses!

Be sure to drain and replace the gas before trying to start it up! With my Patrol, I learned the hard way that old gas really is bad for the engine!

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: That looks like a fun project, seems to be in pretty good condition. It even has the original mirror which is a big plus. It probably won't take much to get it going. Keep us posted and feel free to ask questions!
Beyond any hope for intervention
