I'm considering on buying a Patrol soon. Couple of quick q's for y'all first. Can I look up the year by the vin#? And is $1500 a good price for a Patrol that runs and has some rust??? Also, how hard I it to get parts for these vehicles???

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomewave:

$1500 for a Patrol that runs is a good price. Rust is typical, depends on how much there is. If you have the full VIN I can get pretty close on the year. Many parts are pretty easy to get, others are impossible. Bringing a Patrol back to life requires patience.

The tag is sometimes under the hood. You probably found it right in front of the radiator, based on the number. The VIN indicates that this is a 1968 Patrol, sometimes sold and titled originally as a '69.

Pics are fairly easy here. The trick is making sure they are the right size.

First, click below on the tab that says "Upload Attachment"

Next, click on the button that says "Choose File". Then navigate in the box that opens up to wherever the picture is on your computer or phone, and click the "open" button in the lower right corner

The file name should show in the box right beside the Choose File button. Click the button that says "Add the file"

You may get a message that says the following if your picture is too big: "The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 1280 pixels wide and 1024 pixels high. The submitted image is xxxx pixels wide and xxxx pixels high." If so, you will have to reduce the picture size; I use the Paint program to do this.

If the picture is the right size, you will see a box appear just below where you type in your post which says "POSTED ATTACHMENTS". Place your cursor in the body of your text where you want the picture, and then click on "Place Inline". You should see something like this appear: [attachment]PIC FILE NAME[/ attachment]

When you submit your post, or look at the preview, the picture should be there.

I'm not sure what picture formats this forum can handle; I only use .jpg files for pictures. Perhaps RiverPatrol will comment on that.
