Front Brake Cylinders
Greetings Patrolees Nationwide,
I'm in need. Any help is appreciated.
A). two front brake cylinders in inventory or cups that might rebuild them?
B). Rebuilt kit for a 66 OEM Master Brake Cyilnder.
If so, I sure would like to buy them or replace them when mine come in.
Rumbles don't wait!
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Front Brake Cylinders
RiverPatrol,
Both fronts are leaking.
I've gotta go Patrol but if you happen to have one of each please mail them to:
Eddie Brown
514 Indian Point
Bulverde, TX 78163.
I'll replace them when mine arrive on the 15th. I ordered two full sets.

Re: Front Brake Cylinders
He ended up finding the last 4 rebuild kits in existence. The only source for brake cylinders is on eBay in Australia. You need 4 for the front, 2 on each side. Might as well get the rears to because if they're not leaking yet they will be soon.

They're never sold out, look harder. Here is just the front set - https://www.ebay.com/itm/261419018581 and here are the rears with new shoes - https://www.ebay.com/itm/331679339711

Re: Front Brake Cylinders
Yes RiverPatrol is right, I bought the last four. Once received, Eddie found the rebuild kits were only suitable for the rear wheel cylinders. HOWEVER...Eddie the Eagle thinks he has found replacement seals for the front in the USA. If they work, I'll inform everyone. If he doesn't, we will need to wait for the fronts to arrive from Australia.

Re: Front Brake Cylinders
Frio,
So far I have had to rebuild every OEM Master Brake Cylinder. Now we are starting to replace even the Wilwood modern twin reserver MBCs. Very frustrating.
Here is what I have learned.
#1. Buy a couple of OEM MBC rebuild kits while they are still available on Ebay. Very cheap insurance.
#2. Use ONLY dot 3 brake fluid. Dot 4 is too strong. It will rust internals and degrade the old rubber seals.
