Inflation Hits Patrol Parts!

Post by r1lark »

Whoa, even Patrol parts are not immune to the crazy price increases we are seeing.

Case in point: two years ago almost to the day, I ordered a genuine Nissan oil filter p/n 15208-32225 for my Patrol from nissanparts.cc, and including shipping the cost was $17.07,,,,,very reasonable I thought.

Decided to order another one today. Current cost from nissanparts.cc for the p/n 15208-32225 is now $53.42 including shipping!! :o I about passed out.

Decided to order three of the Wix 51302 filters from Amazon Prime, less than $11 each, will be here Sunday. Only downside of the Wix is they don't include the two small diameter o-rings, but do include the large one. I reused the two original small o-rings when I installed the Wix a couple of years ago. I'll replace those with the two from the $17 Nissan filter, then just use the Wix filters.
