Hey all, time has gotten away from me and I didn't realize how long it had been since last on the site!
I have been slowly working on the '67 and wanted to share some updates.
First off, thank you again to all who have posted, shared and given advice on this site; it has been invaluable in getting this project on the road.
Work since last post:
Alcon springs with 0.5 in lift.
Custom tarpaulin bows with reinforced front and rear to act as a roll bar, head rest frames added
Custom rear bench seats (couldn't find any originals)
Original style rear bumperettes
New tarpaulin
Custom headrests with embroidery to match the horn button
Replacement carb (flow not quite right, I run into what I think is icing on hot/humid days, but otherwise works well)
Installed front individual seats
Original route exhaust
Rear jerry can mounted
Door magnets of various designs (the kids had fun helping with these!)
Painted the FJ hubcaps that came with it
Turned an old ammo can into some cupholders
Used my 8th grade level woodshop skills to make a speaker holder between the seats
Found and installed what I think are original windshield wipers
Future work:
Black trimmed headlight bezels (if anyone has a set to sell please let me know)
Black trimmed grill insert (similarly if one for sale...)
Original rear light housings
Convert oil bath filter to paper (I did see the post on this, great idea, just haven't gotten the time for it yet)
Seal the original paint/patina with Pappy's
