'69 hard top Patrol on eBay

Post by RiverPatrol »

This was one of my old Patrols, called Pot Farm Patrol. It ended up in New Hampshire and is now for sale on eBay.

One of those 68-sold-as-a-69. I was first sold in 69, it is titled as a 69.

Anybody that gets that one around $15,000 is getting a Patrol for pennies on the dollar.

RiverPatrol did some of the later models still come with the banjo steering wheel?

The last year for the banjo steering wheel was this late 68 aka 68-sold-as-a-69.

Back on eBay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267190208867?m ... &recoPos=1

Last auction ended with no bids. Starting bid on new auction is the same $15K. I'm amazed that this Patrol did not sell at $15K in the original auction. Based on the vehicle, documentation, factory options, work that has already been done, and spare parts included, surely $15K is a reasonable price, if not a steal. Plus, it was at one time owned by River.........what more provenance could you ask for? :D

If my Patrol had not been owned by my family since new, I would be all over this '69!

Ebay used to be great for listing and selling vehicles. Not so much anymore. I don't think many people even look there when they're looking for a vehicle. It became too much of a gamble on the condition, and for sellers the listing fees became unreasonable.

As the former owner of PFP after Leslie, I personally find it slightly disingenuous that current owner Ed would feature my listing pictures from 7 years ago almost exclusively in his listing ...
It does not seem to be an accurate portrayal of current condition after it has spent 7 years in New Hampshire. The couple pics that are his reveal quite a bit of rust that wasn't there when it left California.

To each his own, but it's a bummer for PFP - I genuinely miss it and have come to realize it was a mistake to sell it back then ...
