‘69 Axle Replacement Starting (sort of)

I’ve got my ‘69 in the air waiting, hoping, on parts from heaven, specifically axle shaft (long), outer bearing, axle seal and diff gasket.

While I’m waiting it seems a good time for some brake inspection and possibly replacement of front wheel cylinders.

As I live in hurricane alley, I’m hesitant to pull too many parts off as I need to have the ability to pull the Patrol from under my house and run from the storm.

Any help, guidance, or devine intervention that brings axle parts to Florida will be forever appreciated.

Dave

Wow, that must be one "dry" Patrol, that you can park it over a nice rug! :D

Ha! That’s a rug someone was throwing out. My Patrol drips like a champ and I’ve found that an old rug is a good fit to protect the concrete. And somewhat comfortable to lay on when your contemplating your broken axle shaft.
