60Patrol

First off I am really bad about posting anything, but if I can tell remember I will post as I go through my low budget refurb.

So far I have swapped frames and rebuilt the engine, transmission, and transfer case. These are pretty documented but I can share insight and pics if you have questions, but I don't plan to show anything on these.

First ideas I haven't seen that I would like to share are some body repair/modifications. Starting with the commonly trusted out bed rails. I replaced these with 2x2 tubing. Little primers and seam sealer on the bottom side for rust proofing and a little Bondo cleans up the edges. But then boom, better and factory

Also made some decent at best rear doors. Mine were badly bend and I had some tubing and 1/16" plate laying around. So I made some overly heavy rear doors.

For anyone curious about the rolling chassis.

And as it sits today. No other different type of repairs/upgrades worth mentioning to get to this point yet.

Did you rebuild the engine? If so, where did you source the parts?

Yes I did rebuild the engine. Thankfully I found another person on Facebook marketplace who gave up on their Patrol project and had already sourced most of the parts I needed. Anything remaining I sourced on eBay.

Another easy modification solution that looks decent. Door cards from ABS plastic sheet. Really cheap and easy to transfer a shape and cut out with a Dremel bit.
