Who has found brake lines for their Patrol.  Did you just go to Napa and buy regular ones at a certain length.  I need both front lines; they are showing cracks.

I went to my local parts store and got the rear brake line. It was a standard 3/16 O.D. line with standard fittings. They measured it and gave me a straight one. You just bend it to fit. jmcallis,If you are looking for brake hoses, check the compatible parts section. I posted some NAPA numbers there. These hoses are near perfect. I did have to file or grind some of the shoulder off of one end of the fitting to get it to mount in the stock tab/clip that hold it. i got all 3....at the dealer...maybe a few months ago...ask them..ya never know   paul

I tried to get them from Nissan recently and all came back NLA. Matter of fact I tried to order everything in brake piping....all that came in was one 3-way conector (last in USA) and 2 master cylinders. The MC were on B/O for 2 months but came in. I used the Napa lines and they worked fine....any Napa can order them if they don't have on shelf.

Yeah, I went to Napa with the parts numbers that are on the site and they had them.  But then I started to think about a lift.  If I gain 2-3 inches of lift, do you guys think that the brake hoses should be another 2 inces longer at least?

Hey JM,You may find it easier to extend the steel brake line front and rear to where your brake hose attaches to obtain the couple of three inches your looking for to compensate for your lift kit.The steel lines are standard equipment on all North American cars and light duty trucks rightup to present day along with the fittings that screw into the junction blocks. They can be purchased from almost any auto parts store including NAPA in almost any desired length you require. The best part is they're cheap like doggy-doo ! If you approach your length problem from this angle you will still be able to use the hoses furnished by your local Napa store and won't have to deal with the extra expense in both time and money searching for and obtaining other brake hoses to fit your application that may turn out to be special order items. Plus on a vehicle of this age it doesn't hurt to check the steel lines for corrosion and spots that may be about to rub through while you're at it. This will also ensure you of a first class job upon completion and one less thing to worry about in the future. Remember the trick here when doing your lift is to make sure you check the over-all "extended" length of your suspension after you've completed the lift to insure you have enough hose length.Scooter
