starting problems

--- diane potter--- dunt48@earthlink.net--- EarthLink: The #1 provider of the Real Internet. hey this is river rat, your problem could be one of two things. 1) your glow plug controller could be faulty and not giving the signal to the glow plugs. 2) your glow plugs could have died. this would explain the white smoke and hard starting. I have been a diesel mech for years and would suggest you start with the glow plugs. there is one other poss. you could be loosing compression, lets hope not. good luck
