60Patrol

Hey folks,  I just saved a patrol from a field. I plan to work it for the next year or so and then maybe convert it a a weekend driver.   It's a 63 soft top. Well was one kinda hokey homemade top. Alot depends on if I can get it running.   The frame is solid but it needs some tub work, door bottoms and most importantly front top fenders.  Surprisingly the wells are good. PO said it ran/plowed till last year then parked. But the clutch is frozen   bob

Very interesting top.  It looks like it is based off a soft top frame.  The clutch is a mechanical linkage and may just need greased up to work.  Check that before really tearing into it! Best of luck and look forward to more pics!

correct, as a matter of fact the frame is still there. He just ran the sheet metal around it. Good news is there's lots of 16ga metal for patching. I was under there today there is no cover on the flywheel I could see a bit but I didn't get under there good. I can see zerk fittings but didn't grease them. I cannot believe how good the frame looks. It looks like my wifes new minivan under there all the body mounts are solid. The problem is wherever that was a weld it rotted under that. I wish the PO used rustoleum might have saved it some.the rear hatch and tailgate are from a late willys.bobAttachment: 173-7395_IMG.JPG
