Frankly, I'm amazed no one has grabbed this one - 50car has seen it and heard it run... The only detractor for me was that it does not have the serial number plate, as I recall..{ edit: the VIN tag is there, it's the engine that is not original }

but man, I'm looking at that straight body, and thinking about how much time it would save me on body and sheetmetal work on my 62...

plus, I could use the seats, the door hardware, and the front bumper on my 65...

Oh boy- I better go outside and get busy on something else, before I start calculating fuel costs from Phx to Eugene Oregon, and back.... :geek:

Lemme help with the planning...

Round trip Phoenix to Eugene: 2455 miles
Expected drive time: 35 hours
Nourishment requirements:
  • 27 cups of black coffee
  • 8 cans of Mtn. Dew
  • 11 bags of Dorritos (or 7 "Family Size" bags)
  • Four In-n-Out stops
  • Three fill ups
  • Four gin-and-tonics ready upon return home.
F250 diesel avg economy: 14 mpg
Avg Fuel cost in California: $3.02

Trip fuel cost: $529
Patrol Cost: $3,000
Full cost: $3,529

Innate value of having a fifth Patrol: Priceless ;-)

We'll help out an feed you when you pass through the Sacramento area...

Even the directions are pretty simple... no need to write them down!
  • Take 10 west to 210 west
  • Then get on 5 north
  • Keep going until you hit Eugene.
Here's the map if case you prefer a visual:

You waited too long! It's moved 120 miles further away from you AND $1500 more expensive!

Oh well, my loss... :ugeek: I'll just have to live with having "too many" Patrols, as opposed to having "WAY too many.." ;)
