to restore or not to restore that is the question

what do you think i should do with old g 60 ,,,,,,,,,,,i have got most of the parts to do the job but i need to get a roof and a spare wheel carrier ....the old roof is plastic and has got lots of cracks in it and bits missing .......ok i have got a sd33 diesel motor and a 5 speed but is it a lot of hassle to put the motor in the old g60 to make it go again?? ,,,,,

I say do it! She is just begging to run again. Its going to be a fair amount of work, but the gratification at the end will be well worth the effort. Not to mention im sure you would enjoy driving her again.

That's a tough decision. It's mostly in good condition. It will take a lot to get it going, but less than what some others have done. I guess it depends on how much interest you have.

Considering its a late '77 or '78 I'd look for another and keep this for parts. There is a shit load of work in that ol bus but hey Patrol owners aren't often scared of a little hard work.
Just keep in mind that you will put in way more than it's worth and at the end of it you need to ask yourself if it's worth it for such a late model?
