This is not a running-driving Patrol. It is a project, it will make an absolutely beautiful truck once restored and is a perfect Patrol to restore. My plan was to restore this truck back to original. The story I got was somebody had dropped a nut down a spark plug hole and started the truck. This busted a piston. A replacement piston was located but they couldn't find bottom end bearings and the engine needed it. So they sold the Patrol, to me. They had parted a 69 and included tons of mechanical parts with the 68 and a few body parts from the 69 as well. On top of this I am tossing in a 67 running and driving parts truck. The 67 spent it's life in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Here is some details on the project and what I have to go with the 68.
-Original engine is all here, head has been fully rebuilt. Rest of the motor needs a full rebuild. Roughly $3,000 to do a full rebuild on the engine.
-Correct 68 style seats have been fully restored in silver & black.
-Original set of split wheels in good condition.
-Super complete truck, has the 68 sun visors in amazing condition, original headliner still in it also in great shape. I have a tool kit for the truck (not all tools are in the kit) and a stock jack too. Correct and un-busted rear tail lights, very hard to find these. Headlights are original Koito's.
-All glass is original and in excellent condition, including the windshield!!
-Original blue paint still on the truck, it is oxidized but I did wax it in one spot and it could be saved.
-Steering wheel is 100% un-cracked and in excellent condition.
-Body is rust free besides some light surface rust on the floor pans. There is a tiny but of rust to deal with along the roof rail on one side, only on one side. Very few very small dents in the truck.
-Mechanically, as far as I can tell, the truck is sound besides the engine. I pulled the covers off the trans & t-case and it looks great. Truck rolls very easily on the stock axles.
-Original seat belts in this Patrol!
-Complete set of Alcan leaf springs, brand new and 2-2.5" of lift.
-I have a 1967 parts truck to go with it. This truck runs & drives. It has a PTO winch and PTO box, complete. The winch needs some repairs. Body is pretty shot on this truck but the roof is good. Mechanically, I don't know, it runs & drives which is better than most parts trucks.
-I have a large stash of OEM/NOS parts I have been acquiring for this project since I got the truck; NOS gauge cluster, ALL rubber that Datsuland makes, fuel pump, wiper arms and blades, axle seals and bearings, trans seals and bearings, t-case output seals, fog lights, back up light, horn ring, oil filters, w/p dizzy caps, dizzy points, trans drain plug, head gasket, blank key set, coil and much much more. Easily $2-3k in NEW parts without counting the $2k or so in Datsunland rubber!
-From a 69 that goes with all this I have; spare bellhousing, spare front & rear axles, spare water pump, spare radiator, spare trans & t-case (poor condition) and much more. Two large crates full of good used parts!
I want $10,000 firm. You come pick it up or arrange shipping. I will help you load it all.
