Hopefully not a stupid question.
Hey guys looking to buy a fixer upper Nissan Patrol and possibly use as a daily driver since my work commute is so short. Does anybody else do that? Will a Patrol go at least 60mph?

Re: Hopefully not a stupid question.
Welcome to 60Patrol!
Here, there are no stupid questions so don't hesitate to ask.
How much are you wanting to spend? How much work are you willing to put into it? A Patrol in good running condition can do 60 MPH, but that is about the max it will comfortably do. Pushing it beyond that will significantly shorten the lifespan of the engine.

Re: Hopefully not a stupid question.
I am hoping to spend less than 4k on a complete Patrol that doesn't have to be running. I plan on keeping it forever and have mechanics I work with that can potentially help me bring it back to life.

Re: Hopefully not a stupid question.
Thanks for the nice welcome. Happy to be in North Carolina. I was a Texas transplant and have been here a couple months now. Hoping to secure my Nissan Patrol here soon and gain more knowledge of the vehicle thru the forum. My wife is actually on board with the purchase.

Re: Hopefully not a stupid question.
My lease is up on my current car in July 2019. I am hoping I can get a Patrol secured and running before then. Nervous about limited parts availability.

Just be sure to do your research before you buy. Its possible to get into something that needs a lot more than it seems at first glance. You can always ask here or in PM if there's one you're interested in.
