fuel pumps

read the specs on the engine driven fuel pumps .. .75 gal / min thats 45 gallon per hour output..? found a small electric at jc whitey with those specs.. what has everyone been doing bout fuel pumps... replacing with engine driven .. or both.... bjoseph

My fuel pump for a 1969 kl60 just quit working and I am looking for a rebuild kit. Is there a rebuild kit available? All I need is the diaphragm. Any feedback would help.......Thanks Swede

Hey guys http://motorcare.com.au/ They are in AUS but they can get fuel pumps and rear brake cylinders for PATROLS. Not sure if they had a rebuild kit for the fuel pump, but, if you buy a new fuel pump it comes with a rebuild kit. So, they must have rebuild kits by themselfs too? Not real sure. Grant

the FP from motorcare that i got wasnt quite right....the shaft on the diaphram itself was shorter compared to my original one....which ended up cracking the FP arm(welded it up and is ok now.).....i went to local parts house...and had them look up older LC mech FP.......i got the older one thats bolted together....and that shaft is the perfect length....the part number from the MASTER parts box is 1439......and i think the newer old replacement pumps that come now are stamped and crimped together.....youll have to check....the key to all these pumps is this...look at the lower section of pump where arm pivots....that lower section should be as long as the old one....then youll know that its the right length shaft.

My fuelpump from motorcare bolted on fine after putting longer studs on the block. It works fine put I still like to rebuild the old one. If I understood you correctly the Landcruiser part#1439 has a diapraghm with shaft that fits in the original Patrol pump? If so is there a rebuild kit for the LC pump or do you have to buy the whole pump and is MASTER the brandname of the FP. Also my FP from motorcare was bolted together and looked identical to my old one except for the minor height difference that changed the shaft length. If you need a new heatspacer the napa # is 039-2002( 70's nissan pickups had the same spacer). If you need more gaskets for the fuelpump mount the NAPA # is 039-2008( they are nicer than the one's supplied with the fuelpump from motorcare.Also what year of LC for the FP? Swede
