This is a Patrol part and it is decieving. It is a part that one would have to see and touch to fix a brake cylinder....























....it is the protective cap to the Nissan Patrol 30610-10626 brake repair kit.

Haha, not sure I was closest but I'll toss something out...should be easy for most of us but it's all I have from work.

I call foul. Nissan never packaged their kits that way. Maybe whoever you got it from did, but that is definitely not factory packaging.

It was not easy to justify but you cannot have this kit without this part...so it is a integral and necessary part for a 60....and seems factory? (pg. '71 parts index)...and yes, I'm tricky!!!

Oh boy...

The kit in the picture above is the brake master cylinder rebuild kit. The NABCO boot in the original mystery part picture is the boot from the kit which is used on the end of the master cylinder when rebuilding it. In the packing list shown it is 46100-27260. It may have been used as a cap in this package, but ultimately it is the brake master cylinder dust cover boot.

Kind of one of those things we find is ambiguous whether they WERE factory or dealer add-ons or in this case a DIY (BTW!!! the plastic was sealed and I cut it open just for shits a giggles so you guys owe me a brewsky)? Then there were the super uber special factory stuff requested by MrK !!!!!

Again, the dimensions are difficult, but from the weave of the background material this boot looks smaller than the previous one. I am guessing that this is the clutch slave cylinder dust cover/boot.

He got it so I pass the torch...
