60Patrol

hey Rick, Paul and everyone....   I also have got parts from motorcare and Nissan dealers....Chris David at Santa Cruz Nissan kicks butt....he got me several items asap...I don't have a Nissan dealer in my town so I found one who is willing to help, Chris is really great, parts at my door in less than a week....yet, the fact remains that Nissan is denying us/me parts that they have but won't sell us/me. Personally I think it is BS and it makes me mad. I am willing to pay for the parts just like a lot of you but they deny us and it is not ok in my book....   So I am working on this petition, if I get something together I will post it and you all can sign or comment on it....   Bottem line is we deserve to be able to buy parts just like everyone else in all other countries around the world, if that takes a petition to make happen then so be it...if it takes me going to Japan then possibly that is what I will do but I won't take "NO" as an awnser. Nissan sold the Patrol here and they used an American hero to support their product so they better support their product even if it is 30+ years later...   We deserve this same as everyone else who owns a Patrol on the planet in my opinion and if we sit back and do nothing then we will get nothing but if we make ourselves heard then they will supply us with everything we need to keep our Patrols alive for many years to come.   There are many many Patrols left in the USA unrestored....it is very unfair that these Patrols might be used for parts simply because Nissan denies us parts. I will do all I can and hopefully together as a group we can get some results....   Ian

Fud, I highly recomend that you/we dont go into this and at them (NISSAN) with that *TONE*. Because by law they dont have to support a car with parts past... I think it is 5 years, might be 10. But either way the PATROL is well past that point! So, we need to kiss a little "A" here make them thinnk we are cute and neat so they give us want we want. You know the old saying, sugar works better when trying to catch bees or something or other!   Now, if after all the "A" kissin they still say NO then we let them have it with both barrels! that is to say "F" them bees!   Grant

Per Info Ect.. Parts supply, the stock required per vehicle sales is a basic conceptwith a standard, set at 10 years. Each unit (vehicle) sales will effect the amount of part supply required. (i,e,) Special Order. Nissan patrols imported/sold in the U.S.A. = Appx. 3000 units. The key is FINDING THE SUPPLY of stocked partsthat still exist. ( Nissan archives/ supply distribution main). ......................I have two 67's type L-60, One stock and one very far from stock. Trust me I do feel your pain. I did the ground work 20 years ago. hey yall, i am all for doing anything to find parts for our patrols.  these are the types of vehicles that nobody would ever want to sell and if they do then they are gonna regret it down the road.  ok, i have a 66 that is in mint condition w/ 27000 original miles, yes all original.  i want that baby to live on.  that is my pride and joy and if i can't keep her runnin then i'm at a loss.  how often do you see a Nissan Patrol goin down the road.  you gotta love the looks people give you and the landcruiser comments.  thats what i love when i drive it.  now if any of ya'll are considerin not signin this petition then i'll hunt you down, just kiddin.  sign me up.  what can i do to help?  if there is anything i can do then my new email is all4him2004@adelphia.net.  thanks ya'll!!!!             R.J.
