That is the old school way and the right way. However, I am not sure it is cool to use compression fittings for brakes or is that a double flare? Rob? Esteban? I will now turn around three times and wave my wand and they will show up to offer an opinion.

What kind of idiot do you think I am???? :shock: Of course they are 45 degree double flares!!

And no, I'm not using 2 lock washers on them either!! ;) ;)

always, always ALWAYS double flare hard brake lines and use steel NPT flare fittings. AN fittings are ok for rubber lines
