OK all...... I need some input. I'm working on the front floors right now. I'm attempting to make a separate "floor" like the factory but I don't have a lot to work with..how poorly would I be looked upon if I welded the floors to the firewall. Like a normal truck or jeep? basically making a "tub". I understand it will be more difficult to remove the trans and transfercase in the future. but I'm out of ideas, that I can accomplish.. Can anyone think of a major issue I will have in the future? I really don;t want to pull the firewall. I will still keep the back tub separate, just the firewall will be permanently attached to the floor. I can then make the entire area much more rigid..

I think that's probably your best option. I don't see it causing any problems when pulling the trans, usually just the trans hump comes off for that. Go for it.

I picked up some seats today, not bad.. I haven't figured out haw to mount them yet.

I did a quick color test.. This is Ford Red.. I'm not sure , I'd prefer a darker read but I have a gallon of it. I have a gallon of grey also but only a quart of Ford Blue... The blue is almost the same color of the stock engine block..

Use all 3!
