compatable carby and fuel filter

I have a G60 1978 Patrol and I need to replace it with something compatable. if any body could help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. I also need a fuel filter that is good enough to filter all the crap that is in my old rusty fuel tanks, instead of the generic type filter .Also ,what type of oil is the best for the original but fully rebuilt engine that has also been modified for unleaded fuel . I think the oil that i am using is too fine and is bypassing the valve stem seals. Under idle conditions for a few minutes the engine blows quite a bit of smoke and then stats to run very rough . getting very frustrated. THANX .
